Our mission is to inspire today’s youth to continue their education, by reaching out to them through the hip hop culture.  We feel that if we can harness their creativity and , as we like to call it, their “gift of speech” we can provide our young people a chance to not only display their talents and positively influence the hip hop world but also provide educational opportunities.

Creating this type of venue has been a test of persistence but we feel that the time to change the common perception of hip hop is now!  The image of the hip hop culture has not been a positive one. Over the last few years hip hop has been thoroughly scrutinized.  Artists are being arrested, banned from radio, and have generally displayed themselves in very disrespectful ways.  However, this music greatly in?uences our children and yet the only thing we do is slap a parental advisory sticker on the CD.

We want to show our children that there is another way to display their feelings through hip hop without being disrespectful and at the same time create a future for themselves by offering a Scholarship to the winner!
